Oh, Flat Head, you underdog of screwdrivers; you who are often overlooked in favor of your much more popular (and let's face it, much more useful in accordance with the "screw driver" title) brother, Phillips.
Today, dear Flat Head, I put aside my heretofore ill-informed notion that you are mostly useless, and instead laud your many virtues. For what you lack in competent and efficient screw-tightening, you make up for with your many unconventional abilities -- a few which I have employed over the past week, like opening paint cans, separating tight-fitting pieces of metal in meticulous bits of electronic machinery, being wedged under a metal lid to loosen the suction on an especially persnickety jar of garlic, and most recently, cleaning from the treads of my shoes the cat crap that I accidentally stepped in while carrying two bags of groceries from the car to the front door this afternoon.

Hmm I never thought of that before, but you are right... I don't think I've ever used a Philips screwdriver! But now at least I have some ideas of how it might come in handy!
