Do you ever think about the things you wish you could have done with your life and get so sad, you feel like you're at the bottom of a pit you'll never get out of?
Usually, I let myself live with the delusion that I'm well-spoken, charismatic, and an all-around likable woman in person.
And then, now and again, I'm reminded of just how bizarrely awkward I really am. My 8 year old daughter is telling me all about her favorite Magic: The Gathering cards. Billy has been teaching her to play, and the two of them have been battling it out just about every afternoon for the past few weeks. "This one is a +2 to fire power..." (as you can tell, I have no clue what any of this shit mean) "...and deals 3 damage against spirit monsters if they're in a grassland."
Uhhhhhhh...this one has a pretty picture on it. I'm so, so glad she and Billy have so much they can connect with. |
